On Sunday 28th May, as part of Taddington Teas, we will be hosting a special ceremony to name the recently refurbished back room (the old billiard room) “The Pickford Room” in honour of Anthony ‘Tant’ Pickford. ​ Everyone who knew Tant is invited to come and join us for the dedication and share their memories.

Tant, who sadly passed away last year, lived in Taddington all his life and dedicated much of his spare time to supporting, maintaining and improving the Institute so the committee is very keen to recognise his contribution.

The short ceremony will start at 14:00, when a plaque dedicated to Tant will be unveiled and some of Tant’s family and friends will say a few words and share some memories.

Everyone is welcome to attend and Taddington Teas runs, as usual, from 11:00 – 16:00 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (27th- 29th May).
